About Me

dsc 4452

I am a heart-centered, empathic and intuitive human who finds that being a human is a very silly and odd experience. I spend my free days nourishing my mind, body, and spirit with gentle movement, delicious foods, restorative activities, and connection with community. I care about serving others and understand suffering is a collective experience - we cannot ignore the suffering of others because their suffering is our suffering.

Mission

If I can do one thing in my human life, it would be to bring light to all beings I meet and help heal our collective consciousness. There is so much hope - but we must start with our own suffering and our own healing. Only then can we carry that healing into the world.

Why Kelly Megumi Reiki & Life Coaching?

I have a doctorate in occupational therapy (OT) from USC — while OT’s are not typically known for their work in mental health settings, my entire career has focused around it. As a mental health OT, I’ve held both one-on-one and group sessions to help people manage their mental health and engage more meaningfully in their everyday lives. I’ve supported countless people who experience suicidal ideation, substance-use challenges, auditory/visual hallucinations, depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges. That said, there are ways I’ve felt limited by my scope of practice as an OT. I am stepping into a life coaching role with the skills of a clinician but not AS a clinician. My coaching program blends a decade of healing, inner work, spiritual growth, and self-actualization with the evidence-based tools I’ve used in clinical settings. To me, it’s the best of both worlds — and I can’t wait to offer my full skillset to the people I work with.
